Earlier this month, Bentley Beverly Hills had the opportunity to take a select few clients on a driving experience of a lifetime.  From LAX to Downtown Portland in the new Bentayga V8, Bentley Americas put together an adventure where drivers were really able to experience the new-found power and torque behind the SUV.

Oregon is famous for a few things, like the distinct culture of Portland, and the famed Mt. Hood National Forest.  Both of which perfectly match the handcrafted, luxurious lifestyle in which Bentley loves to immerse their customers in.

The weekend started with chauffeurs waiting to transport clients in the new Bentley Bentayga V8.  Being the passenger gave them the opportunity to admire the attention to detail that went into the design process of the vehicle’s interior.  They were then dropped off at the Sentinel Hotel.  The hotel is a National Historic Landmark building, filled with locally sourced amenities, from the handcrafted Pendleton Woolen Mills blankets, to Salt & Straw ice cream ready to order through room service.  No detail was left untouched.  The rest of the evening was spent over cocktails and conversation in preparation for the adventures that laid in the days ahead!

Sunday morning, the group made their way to the Portland International Raceway for the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge.  On site there was a tour of the K-PAX Race Team Garage, accompanied with a trackside lunch before clients had the opportunity to watch the SprintX GT Race.  The SprintX GT is a race that is a part of the Pirelli World Challenge Series.  The race typically lasts 55-minutes, and the K-PAX team placed first in their class!  An exciting day to be trackside, but the following morning was where clients had the chance to really get behind the wheel.

Monday, the group made it to the Mt. Hood National Forest for an excursion drive, where the first stop along the route was actually for a private tour of the Pendleton Woolen Mills factory.  Much like Bentley, Pendleton Woolen Mills is celebrating 100 years of manufacturing luxury hand crafted products.  Here, clients had the opportunity to walk through the process it takes to create a blanket.  There were rooms of bulk sheep’s coats, followed by hallways of machinery that took care of everything from washing the wool, to milling it into thread, to dying and weaving the blankets.

From the tour of the factory, the route ran along the Willamette River, where eventually they ran into the Three Rivers Grill.  The lunch was organic and full of local flavors with the Columbia River rushing by below.  Feeling refreshed and replenished, the open road was again calling all the way to White River West Sno-Park, where a stunning photo opportunity backdrop was provided.  From there, clients hopped on the highway and made their way back to the airport, where they left Portland with an experience they’ll never forget.
