Rodeo Drive. One of, if not the most, iconic streets in the world. Known primarily for it’s shopping, dinning, and celebrity sightings, people from all over the globe flock to the famed street on a daily basis. But for one day a year, something different takes center stage. For the last 26 years, the City of Beverly Hills has celebrated Fathers Day by hosting what’s become one if the premier car shows in the country, the Rodeo Drive Concours. We at O’Gara Coach, one of the shows largest contributors, decided this was the perfect time and location to celebrate something of our own, the 100th year Anniversary of Bentley. Below is a recap of the incredible weekend and all the experiences we were able to provide.
On Sunday morning, O’Gara Coach Beverly Hills hosted Sunset Granturismo, bringing LA’s car community together to enjoy a morning of cars and coffee at Sunset Plaza. Once again, Sunset GT brought out some of the newest, rarest and most extraordinary vehicles in the automotive industry. This month’s theme celebrated McLaren Special Operations (MSO) with an “MSO Takeover”, showcasing two McLaren Senna, a McLaren 570S GT4 and a McLaren P1. In addition, car aficionados had the chance to view the new McLaren 600LT, and several McLaren 675LT, McLaren 650s and McLaren 720s. For the occasion, Fred Durst, vocalist of Limp Bizkit, was spinning Holiday tracks as guest DJ.
Over 160 cars were in attendance, with 12 Aston Martins including the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, 12 Bentleys, one Bugatti EB110GT, 40 Ferraris including the rare 1972 yellow Daytona Spyder, one Ford GT, 38 Lamborghinis, 42 McLarens, 28 of which are by MSO, and 15 Rolls-Royce.
In Beverly Hills, Father’s Day is always the shared date with the largest automotive event of the year, the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance. What better way to spend the day – surrounding your family with the most iconic classics and latest from the manufacturers. To make it even more special, the event celebrated its 25th Anniversary!
Over the weekend Porsche celebrated their 70th anniversary, so we decided to join in on the fun! Over 70 Porsche, 800 spectators and 150+ cars in total had the chance to “Sportscar Together” as Porsche would say. At the show we had four Carrera GTs along with two 918s in addition to the various models of Porsche that lined the parking lot!
It’s #SunsetGT time again! This month, we invited Aria to show off their soon-to-be production car, the FXE. Many of you may have never heard of this car before, but I’m sure you’re all familiar with Tesla, or for the Porsche fans of the car world, the 911 Singers! Aria had a hand in the development of these few companies, and have decided to take that knowledge and expertise in the developmental phases to go out on their own. And that’s just how the FXE was born.
Over the weekend, McLaren Beverly Hills partnered up with Mattel for the Hot Wheels Legends Tour 50th Anniversary! To celebrate, the company has decided to put together a tour of the legends, and Los Angeles was just the beginning. They will be hitting 15 cities, where one car will be chosen and produced as a 1/16th die cast. Later this year at Sema, Hot Wheels will be showing the 15 chosen vehicles along with their die-cast counter parts for the world to see.
