“It is good to have an end to journey toward: but it is the journey that matters in the end.” – Ernest Hemingway
Sun Valley Idaho. Made famous by the Iconic American author, is home to some of the most beautiful and rugged landscape in the country. Famous for not only its residents past and present, but for its world class skiing. Rolls-Royce Beverly Hills recently took over the quiet mountain town with a pair of the most luxurious and capable SUV’s ever created: The Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
The purpose of our journey was to sponsor the Janss Pro-Am Ski competition with help from Rolls-Royce North America. The fun weekend of competition raises money for over 700 kids who participate in the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. Our presence gave locals and visitors alike the ability to drive the Cullinan in locations they would never think possible for a brand like Rolls-Royce. It also gave our photographer the chance to capture content not normally available in Southern California. Below are the highlights of our beautiful journey.
In Beverly Hills, Father’s Day is always the shared date with the largest automotive event of the year, the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance. What better way to spend the day – surrounding your family with the most iconic classics and latest from the manufacturers. To make it even more special, the event celebrated its 25th Anniversary!
Over the weekend Porsche celebrated their 70th anniversary, so we decided to join in on the fun! Over 70 Porsche, 800 spectators and 150+ cars in total had the chance to “Sportscar Together” as Porsche would say. At the show we had four Carrera GTs along with two 918s in addition to the various models of Porsche that lined the parking lot!
Last weekend McLaren Beverly Hills teamed up with McLaren North America and the Petersen Museum to present an amazing masterpiece from LEGO. After 2,000-man hours and just under 300,000 bricks, the LEGO team had created a 1:1 ratio life-sized McLaren 720s!
April 8th marked the one year anniversary of #SunsetGT. It has been one year of bringing together some of the best cars in Southern California. One year of exotics, and hyper cars, and new model launches. One year of crazy cars and a lot of fun, and after every show, many people ask, “How are you going to out do yourselves?” Well for the one year anniversary show… We had as many Bugatti come out to join us as possible! The Bugatti take over started at the dealership where we took a convoy of 5, being 2 Veyron and 3 Chiron, down Rodeo Dr. to Sunset Plaza for a grand entrance!
Rain or shine, the show must go on – and it did! The cloudy skies didn’t stop us from having fun this Sunday at our monthly Cars and Coffee meet up at Sunset Plaza. We had a great turn out, and want to thank everyone who came out despite the chance of rain.
